As the SIHH comes to an end, H. Moser & Cie. would like to take a moment to thank all of the visitors who passed by its booth. Clients, journalists, watch enthusiasts, friends of the brand, and the inquisitive alike came to admire the 2019 novelties. Before SIHH, the manufacturer in Schaffhausen made a commitment to fund the publishing of 10 children’s books for each visitor in place of traditional gifts. With the help of an app, each visitor was invited to symbolically contribute to the cause by pressing on the “Donate 10 books” button. This is how H. Moser & Cie. contributed to the distribution of a total of 8,300 books through the Room to Read organization. Being that children are a great catalyst for change, it is possible, thanks to education, to create a larger sense of responsibility and to change our behaviors for a better future for our planet and for generations to come.

The enthusiasm and emotion were real: the majority of visitors at the H. Moser & Cie. booth during SIHH participated in the initiative launched by the brand. In an attempt to go beyond the microcosm of the watch world, H. Moser & Cie. started a collaboration with Room to Read. Room to Read is a global organization transforming the lives of millions of children in low-income communities by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education. Since its founding in 2000, Room to Read has helped 16.6 million children in 16 countries around the world unlock their potential through education.

Room to Read works in collaboration with local communities, partner organizations, and governments to develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children and ensure girls can complete secondary school with the skills to succeed in school and beyond. Room to Read's Literacy Program ensures schools have libraries filled with books in children's local languages as well as trained teachers and librarians. Through Room to Read’s Girls' Education Program, girls are equipped with the tools to self-advocate and find power in their own voice. The program includes four core components — life skills, mentors, material support, and community engagement.


H. Moser & Cie. and Room to Read share a common vision: education as the key to change, a tool allowing us to bring all of our forces together to lift up the world. The partnership binding H. Moser & Cie. and Room to Read will continue to grow through different initiatives including the creation of unique pieces to be auctioned at the galas organized by Room to Read throughout the year.


In total, 830 visitors passed by H. Moser & Cie. booth during SIHH, allowing the brand to fund the publishing of 8,300 children’s books, which will be distributed by Room to Read
